Super simple healthy cookies. Mix almond flour with a pinch of bicarbonate and sea salt. Melt some coconut oil, add to the mixture, create your preferred topping and bake at 180c for 12mins. These were made with Ombar dark chocolate (dairy free/no refined sugar). Once cooked leave to cool, then eat straight away or store in a sealed jar for a few days. Choose organic ingredients if possible.
Chocolate is rich in polyphenols (catechins & procyanidins), plant compounds that offer health benefits. They are a good source of antioxidants which can help to lower total bad cholesterol (LDL oxidation) and reduce the risk of death from heart disease, see studies here and here. Just make sure you choose a good source of cocoa/dark chocolate, preferably raw cacao and that it’s dairy/sugar-free.
